I’m a North Alabama therapist specializing in trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and related concerns. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021 and have been practicing since then. In 2024 I began developing a private practice and transitioned to full‑time private practice in July 2025, where I continue to expand my clinical offerings.

My approach blends clinical training with a lifetime of listening, supporting, and empathizing. In therapy I emphasize practical self‑care, empowerment, future‑focused goals, cultivating a more positive mindset, and building healthy coping strategies tailored to each person’s unique needs and circumstances.

I understand how difficult and discouraging the search for the right therapist can be. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is. I invite you to reach out for assistance, support, empathy, validation, and encouragement as you take steps toward healing and growth.

About Chelsea Roberts

I’m here to help!

Change isn’t easy (even when it’s good).

I want you to know that you are not alone. Despite the difficulty that change brings, it really is a good thing. Nothing in life is designed to stay the same. We all grow and evolve, as should our habits, mindsets, goals, hobbies, people, and surroundings! Nothing worth doing will ever be easy, but that does not make it any less worth doing.

At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that it is never too late.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today.

We may often tell ourselves ā€œit’s too late,ā€ ā€œI’ll never be able to do that,ā€ or ā€œmaybe in another lifetime.ā€ Those small, persistent ā€œI can’tā€ messages can become barriers that keep us from trying. But what if you could—and the only thing standing between you and change is the belief that you can’t?

Even small changes produce meaningful results. In my counseling practice, I help clients move away from negative thinking and toward more hopeful, forward-focused perspectives. I frequently employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and I integrate techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and others. I tailor interventions to each person’s needs, drawing from a range of approaches to find the right fit.

I will meet you where you are in every session and use the tools that best support your goals. Together we’ll work on practical, achievable steps to help you build momentum, challenge limiting beliefs, and create the change you want to see.

Lets talk about the trees you should have planted 20 years ago, and the ones you can plant today.

Therapy with me is…

    • I may not be able to understand what you are feeling, but I can certainly sit with you and empathize on what you are feeling.

    • There will never be a rush in our work together. The therapeutic process will take however long YOU need it to take, and I’ll be patient with you along the way.

    • We will get stuff done! We set goals in our work together. I will certainly help you meet those goals no matter how small or large!

    • One of my biggest hopes is that I can encourage you that change is possible, and that you can feel positive about some things in your life.

A little about me

I love spending my spare time outdoors with my animals, practicing archery, and being with my family. I care for several animals — four horses, two dogs, 14 birds (chickens and turkeys), and two goats. You’ll often find me sitting in the chicken coop snuggling the birds or practicing horseback archery with my horse, Charlie.

Self-care is very important to me! I try to practice what I encourage my clients to do by regularly exploring and refining my own coping strategies and self-care activities.
